Subject: Requirements of the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (“the CMVM’) regarding the promotion, distribution and marketing of PRIIPs and the appointment of tied agents in the territory of Portugal
Purpose: To remind CIFs of the two circulars issued by CySEC regarding specific requirements of the CMVM.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C536 on 29/11/2022 to remind the Cyprus Investment Firms (‘CIFs’), of the two circulars issued by CySEC in relation with the requirements of the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (“the CMVM’) for the promotion, distribution and marketing of PRIIPs and the appointment of tied agents in the territory of Portugal.
The two Circulars are:
1) C430 - Requirements of the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (‘the CMVM’) regarding the promotion, distribution and marketing of PRIIPs in the territory of Portugal
2) C433 - Requirements of the Portuguese Securities and Exchange Commission (the ‘CMVM’) regarding the appointment of tied agents in the territory of Portugal
CySEC informs that expects all CIFs to ensure compliance with CMVM’s regulatory requirements at all times.
