Subject: CySEC survey on the benefits arising in the Cypriot Economy from CySEC’s Supervised Entities
Purpose: To inform Regulated Entities for a survey on the benefits arising in the Cypriot Economy from CySEC’s Supervised Entities.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C753 on 28/01/2026 to inform the Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs), Branches of Foreign Investment firms, Alternative Investment Fund Management Companies (AIFMs), Administration Service Providers (ASPs), Internally Managed Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs, AIFNLPs)/Sole Purpose Companies/ Small AIFMs, Internally Managed Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS) or UCITS Management Companies (ManCo), Crypto Asset Service Providers (CASPs) and Listed Companies, that CySEC has launched an activity to gain insights into market dynamics, regulatory impact, operational challenges, and the outlook from the perspective of the entities under the supervisory/registration remit of the CySEC.
CySEC notes that the study will be conducted on a strictly anonymous basis. The questionnaire does not entail the collection of any sensitive or personal information i.e. Name, Personal Email, location etc. The data collected will be kept confidential and will only be used to obtain insights for the purpose mentioned in the ‘Questionnaire objective’.
The objective of this activity is to quantify the direct economic impact of CySEC regulated entities as well as their economic interconnectedness within the Cyprus economy.
Circular C753 provides instructions for completion of the relevant questionnaire.
Information collected through the online questionnaire refers to the reporting period 01/01/2025 - 31/12/2025 and reference date 31/12/2025.
CySEC further informs that participating regulated/registered entities are expected to complete the online questionnaire and submit it, by 27/02/2026, at the latest.
CySEC provides a link for entities to access and complete the online questionnaire. CySEC notes that prior to initiating the completion of the questionnaire, users must ensure that they are logged into their Microsoft account. The link is:
