Subject: AMLA’s sectoral roundtables on simplified customer due diligence
Purpose: To inform Regulated Entities that the AMLA plans to proceed with drafting Guidelines on the subject matter of simplified customer due diligence.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C807 on 13/10/2026 to inform the CIFs, ASPs, UCITS Management Companies, Internally managed UCITS, AIFMs, Internally managed AIFs, Internally managed AIFLNPs, Companies with sole purpose the management of AIFLNPs, Crypto Asset Service Providers, Small AIFMs under Law 81(I)/2020 and Crowdfunding Service Providers, that the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (the ‘AMLA’) plans to proceed with drafting Guidelines on the subject matter of simplified customer due diligence.
For this purpose, AMLA is organising sectoral roundtables, inviting obliged entity representatives, trade associations and other representative bodies from the financial and non-financial sectors.
The meetings are expected to take place in person in Frankfurt between 9 November and 2 December 2026.
CySEC notes that stakeholders can submit their expressions of interest via the EU Survey by 18/10/2026 at 23:59 CEST. A relevant press release and news announcement are also available.
CySEC further informs that fully supports the stakeholders’ roundtables approach of AMLA and welcomes any expression of interest by the Regulated Entities.
