Subject: AMLA Public Hearing regarding the draft RTSs under article 11(6) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620
Purpose: To inform Regulated Entities that the AMLA will hold a public hearing on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards under article 11(6) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620.
In Summary:
CySEC has issued the Circular C808 on 13/10/2026 to inform the CIFs, ASPs, UCITS Management Companies, Internally managed UCITS, AIFMs, Internally managed AIFs, Internally managed AIFLNPs, Companies with sole purpose the management of AIFLNPs, Crypto Asset Service Providers, Small AIFMs under Law 81(I)/2020 and Crowdfunding Service Providers, that the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (the ‘AMLA’) will hold a public hearing on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (the ‘RTS’) under article 11(6) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1620.
In accordance with Circular C808, these RTS set out the rules for a central AML/CFT database and specify the type of information that supervisors will transmit to the database, the procedures, formats and timeline of the transmission.
CySEC further informs that the database will serve as the single point for supervisory authorities in the EU to report and retrieve information. It will bring together data on individual obliged entities and on supervisors and their activities.
CySEC notes that the AMLA issued a press release to inform for a Public Hearing that will be held on Tuesday, 3/11/2026, 14:00 - 16:00 CET. Registration will end on Tuesday, 3/11/2026, 14:00 (CET).
CySEC further notes that additional information by AMLA on the Public Hearing can be found at Public Hearing on the draft RTS for establishing a central AML/CFT database.
In accordance with Circular C808, CySEC recommends to the Regulated Entities to attend the Public Hearing.
